For manaiakalani we have been learning how to use wevideo to make a video of some things that we have done this year. I found it difficult to manage to get all of the words and pictures to overlay and work together. It was fun to listen to all of the music and test which one would work best.

This is a tour to all of the rugby world cup quarter-finalists. I learnt how to use tour builder to build a tour for google earth. I had fun figuring out how to use the tour builder. Here is a video of my tour.

Haptx haptic glove

A company located in Seattle, Washington USA called
haptx has made a glove called the haptic glove, that
allows a simulation of touch within virtual reality.

The haptic glove has 130 points of touch which can
displace your skin up to 2mm using a microfluidic
skin with air pressure. enabling you to have a
feeling of objects in virtual reality.

A feed tape connected to the back of the fingertip
parts of the glove and a lightweight exoskeleton can
apply up to 4 lbs or 1.81kgs of force to each finger.

Magnetic motion tracking has sub millimeter
precision in the virtual reality world and you can
see your hand and fingers moving in the virtual
world.

Even though the haptic glove is not readily
available to the public it is one of the biggest
steps in virtual reality and is currently being
used by the military for training, some fire
stations, also for training, and a few car companies.

for manaiakalani in class we are learning about trademarks. fore our task we had to make a shoe for the Rugby World Cup. I am not finished yet but i almost am. here is what I have managed to make.

Today I was learning how to link slides with other slide.
I enjoyed trying to think up a good theme for my maths quiz.
I found it challenging to link all of the slides together.
My digital learning object shows I learned how to link slides to one another.
Next time I would change the maths I did in this quiz.

the seven stars of matariki animation.

Today I was learning about using brush ninja to make an animation for my blog.

I enjoyed figuring out how best to make my animation. I found it hard to get the stars in the right places. My animation shows the seven stars of matariki twinkling. Next time I would change the way my animation ends so that it flows into the start. This blog post shows I am a stepping up learner.

A day at the museum

A couple of weeks ago we walked to the museum to do some learning. We learnt when all of the things that happened around new zealand happened. Also our group looked at the people from the C-Company. It was all really fun. Here's some pictures of a few things we did.

book

I have just finished the second book of the inheritance cycle and am now reading the third book, Brisingr.

In this book eragon is taken to the elves kingdom, ellesmera to continue his rider training. meanwhile eragon's cousin, roran, is getting the village of carvahall, eragon's home, to leave because they are being attacked by Ra'zac so they head off to surda where the rebels are camping. Close to the end of the book eragon has to partake in a battle between some of the empires men and the rebels, he fights for the rebels.

yes! I have finally finished my moment in history it took me a while but was real fun to write. it's about when endeavor sailed into the bay and shoot a maori. I wrote it from the perspective of a maori standing to the side.

book

This is my book I've been reading. It's about a dragon riders but all of the dragons are thought to be extinct. There is three dragon eggs hidden by the corrupt king. One has been stolen but the carrier trying to take the egg to the rebellion gets attacked and had to use magic to spirit the egg away. Eragon accidentally found the egg on the spine, a big mountain range. The dragon hatched for eragon and the dragon is now eragon's friend and eragon is now the first rider for two millenia years. It's a good book and I recommend it to anyone reading this short description. There is also three other books in this series.
